So, here I am – at an actual grown-up blog. Took forever, too.
Not to bore ya with the whole: “how it all began” story, but…well, ok. To bore you:
Started blogging in 2004 at blogger. com. Nobody really read it. Oh, sure, the spam bots visited and a few friends, but largely my efforts, such as they were, went unnoticed. Sagaciously, I decided to move to myspace.com. What better? Here was a place where millions visited. Surely blog traffic would be mine!
It was. Along with viruses, cheap come-ons, tens of thousands of strangers peering into my psyche and a whole lotta different available smilies.
Thankfully, I’ve outgrown myspace — right about five minutes into it, really. It’s much too young for me.
So, here I am. Will be writing about the usual: politics, family, women’s issues, film, entertainment, pop culture, whatever strikes my fancy at any given moment. Perhaps you’ll join me. Perhaps you won’t. Either way is fine with me.
Oh, in the interest of sharing: I’m a single mom, conflicts researcher at a law firm and a freelance writer. Life really does seem to begin at 40; I just wish it began with my 20 year old body still intact.
